Susannah Mays
Susannah Mays, DVM, is an emergency veterinarian at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova.
Dr. Susannah Mays is originally from Greenville, MS. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Ole Miss in 2008 and then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 at Mississippi State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Memphis Veterinary Specialists.
Dr. Mays was happy to stay on full-time as an emergency clinician for Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency. She loves the challenge and excitement of emergency medicine and enjoys helping both the patients and their owners through those stressful times. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Memphis and Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society.
Dr. Mays lives in Memphis with her husband and two young children. They share their home with Lady, a yellow lab, and a cat named Paula Deen. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching TV, cooking, shopping, running and yoga.
