Laura Bahorich
Laura Bahorich, VMD, is an emergency veterinarian at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova.
Dr. Laura Bahorich is a Pittsburgh native. She received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Dickinson College and completed her veterinary training at the University of Pennsylvania. She moved to Memphis in 2011 to further her veterinary education through a small animal rotating internship at Memphis Veterinary Specialists.
Following completion of her internship, Dr. Bahorich joined our team as a full-time veterinary emergency doctor. She enjoys working at all of our Memphis veterinary emergency locations, which include: MVS and the Animal Emergency Center.
Dr. Bahorich’s professional interests include cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, blood product and transfusion administration, and anaphylaxis. She has lectured extensively on these topics to the local veterinary and non-veterinary communities. She is also a board member at Spay Memphis, a local non-profit agency designed to reduce pet overpopulation and loss through responsible and cost-effective castration.
In her free time, Dr. Bahorich owns and operates a fitness center with her husband. She welcomed a baby boy, Stanley James, in April 2018, and he is a perfect addition to her canine children: Beatrice, a border collie, and Satchmo, a Great Dane.

“What a wonderful alternative when something happens to your babies outside normal vet hours. They treated us and my kitty like family. Explained everything and fixed him right up. He’s not enjoying the cone, but his stitches look great. Thank you to the whole team!”
