Roxy Ackerman
Roxy Ackerman, VMD, is an emergency veterinarian at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova.
Dr. Roxy Ackerman grew up in South Florida and earned her undergraduate degree in Global Health from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at the ASPCA Animal Hospital in New York City.
Before joining Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency, Dr. Ackerman worked in community medicine and urgent care. She has always been drawn to the fast pace and critical thinking of emergency medicine.
At home, Dr. Ackerman lives with her fiancé, Jack, and their one-eyed cat, Wisconsin. Outside of work, she and Jack never pass up a trivia night or live music. She also enjoys cooking and any excuse to spend time outside.
