Barden Greenfield, DVM, Diplomate AVDC, is a dentist at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova.
Dr. Barden Greenfield has been providing referral-based dental and oral surgery services to the Mid-South veterinary community for over 10 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College and was the first board-certified veterinary dentist to have dental practices in Tennessee and Arkansas, which serve patients in the Mid-South region.
His love for veterinary dentistry began when he studied that 7 of 10 dogs and cats over 3 years of age have some form of periodontal disease, and that these pets were extremely uncomfortable and were suffering in silence. Watching pets transform from pain to joy is what makes his job such a rewarding one. The overwhelming owner response after oral treatment by Dr. Greenfield has been, “We haven’t seen our pet this frisky or happy in a long time."
Dr. Greenfield is also on the Board of Directors of the AVDC serving as president-elect and has honorably served on the Board of the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS) and the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry. He has lectured on the local, state, national, and international level on a variety of veterinary dental topics.
Dr. Greenfield spends most of his home life with his wife and children while also enjoying a peaceful round of golf.

From Happy Pet Owners
“Forever thankful to kind, sweet, gentle, wonderful Dr. Tina Brown. Our 3 year old girl has been sick for months, but after one month she is back to feeling her happy, playful self again. It feels wonderful to have such an excellent support system in place when I need help.”
