Chase Atwood, DVM, Surgical Resident
Dr. Chase Atwood was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He attended Mississippi State University where he received his undergraduate degree in wildlife with Pre-veterinary emphasis in 2006. He then attended Mississippi State's College of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in the class of 2010. Dr. Atwood completed a small animal rotating internship at MVS before accepting the role of Surgical Resident in 2011. His hobbies and interests include hunting, fishing, golf, and Mississippi State football.

Todd Tobias, DVM, MS Diplomate ACVS
Dr. Tobias is a 1987 graduate from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, a 1988 graduate of the small animal rotating internship program at Auburn University, and a 1991 graduate from the surgical residency program at The Ohio State University.
He was an Assistant Professor and Chief of Small Animal Surgery at Mississippi State University from 1992-97, where his clinical service included soft-tissue, reconstructive, orthopedic and neurologic surgery. His research interests include canine total hip replacement, elbow dysplasia and cardiovascular shock.
He has lectured internationally with the Association for the Study of Internal Fixation, and has been an annual member of the ASIF course faculty at The Ohio State University since 1988. He has remained a co-lecturer of Ohio and Mississippi State's Total Hip Replacement Workshop every year since 1991; the THR workshop is the only course of it's kind in this country. He has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons since 1994.
Dr. Tobias provides specialized veterinary surgical services, by way of primary care veterinary referral only, at his Cordova hospital, Memphis Veterinary Specialists.

Mac Maxwell, DVM, Diplomate ACVS
Dr. Mac Maxwell graduated in 2004 from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Maxwell finished a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Colorado State University. Upon completion of the internship, he returned to Mississippi State University for a three-year surgical residency, which he completed in 2008.
Dr. Maxwell remained at Mississippi State University as an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgery, and is now a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. His research interests include minimally invasive percutaneous osteosynthesis, locking plate biomechanics, and fracture healing.
Dr. Maxwell and his wife, Christy, both hail from Jackson, MS. They have two children, ages 4 and 2. Mac is an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.
