Why does MVS monitor blood pressure?
Using Doppler technology, MVS detects and monitor blood pressure abnormalities (hypertension/high blood pressure and hypotension/low blood pressure). Conditions that can be associated with blood pressure abnormalities in cats and dogs include:
- Chronic kidney disease - hypertension
- Chronic heart disease - hypertension and hypotension
- Adrenal disease (Cushing's disease) - hypertension
- Feline hyperthyroidism - hypertension
- Shock - hypotension
